Black Y'all - Khafre Jay
Black Y'all Written and performed: Khafre Jay http://www.khafrejay.com/ http://www.hiphopforchange.org Produced by: D-Wiz, BPos Studios http://bposmusic.com Directed by: Johwell St-Cilien http://www.negusworld.org Location: Qilombo/Afrikatown Garden www.http://qilombo.org I don't have many videos, but I feel like I need to make this. With the times as they are, and the many systems that give us reason to doubt who we are, and where we come from, we must stand up. With all that is against us we have to root ourselves in what is truly our own' blackness! It's beautiful.

Khafre Jay -The Hood Is F*cked Up!
This was made regarding where the Hip Hop industry has gone in the not so recent years. In reactions to folks like Wayne and Ross who's "New Age Uncle Tomery" is killing us and our media depiction. Intro: Damn man, the industry is kinda messed up right now, man. Yeah, it's full of fakes and frauds. People lying about shit. We got like, Rick Ross saying he was never a correctional officer, and flat out lied. Man, that shit used to end people's careers back in the day like some Milli Vanilli shit. You know what I'm saying? Verse: Think about it, so many actors are backwards on TV, where RIck Ross is raping but gets off easy, and Weezy kissing Baby can still get quoted after almost dying on syrup and speaking homophobic, noted, I'm just a rapper undercover with the spits to get a pass, I'm just a master undiscovered, but brother making it rapping is now just as hard as me changing the industry now that's crowded with garbage, I went to a summit that Ankh did for change in Hip Hop and shit dropped a mountain of game, I'm just saying, the game is just the same as it came, a product of an environment that Black folks retain, it's an ecosystem where we go to listen to music pushed by men who profit if we go to prison, they pushing propaganda now to keep the peace from me, they cut education, now we go dummy, so hungry, clothes bummy and no money, perpetuating this degradation is so scummy, they give dope to us, than rap from dope sellers, they start a war on drug back and they go jail us, it's a second coming of black men with no fathers, so now we got RIck Ross pissed off with dollars, talking about drugging women so he can get tang, when the fuck did that become some game, I'm just sayin Chorus: As long as Lil Wayne is making it rain and at the same time claiming that he's got game, THE HOOD IS FUCKED UP . . .HIP HOP IS FUCKED UP. . . as long as Rick Ross is still the boss, after date raping girls to get his off, THE HOOD IS FUCKED UP . . .HIP HOP IS FUCKED UP Verse: Started from the bottom, now you what? You started on a wheelchair on Degrassi, now you claim thug, in a chase for the money man, trying to keep the crown, but you spitting out the shit to keep your own people down, a new age uncle tom, head of the game, Rick Ross and Wayne lying about selling some cain, shit, I thought rap was about keeping it real when they rent bling from Jacob to make a big deal, ya feel? People are pushing the limit still, Lil Wayne's beating up girls like Emit TIll in his own raps, he ain't nothing to chase after, Soldier Boy is giving up props to slave masters for bringing us here so he could get ice, you look at how the game reflects a fucked up life when somebody could say something that stupid, but all they could do is blame it on rap music Chorus: As long as Lil Wayne is making it rain and at the same time claiming that he's got game, THE HOOD IS FUCKED UP . . .HIP HOP IS FUCKED UP. . . as long as Rick Ross is still the boss, after date raping girls to get his off, THE HOOD IS FUCKED UP . . .HIP HOP IS FUCKED UP
Khafre Jay Live On Haight Street
Khafre Jay (and Just Kev).....Khafre Jay approached us on the corner of Haight and Ashbury. He told us he didn't rap about cars, bitches, or any of the stupid stuff you hear now a day. He asked if we wanted to buy his CD. We asked if we could listen. He broke out into a sick verse on the spot. Sold. Khafre Jay is an intelligent rapper, speaking his beliefs in syncopated syllables. He's always up to something so be sure to check out more on his site. In the meantime we wanted to feature him on LoveInHaight so he told us to bring him a guitarist and then he'd bring us a show. Voila!
